Education on European issues

The EU should show more commitment to educational promotion in general but also specifically regarding European issues, e.g. through the expansion of existing educational EU programmes or the establishment of new EU programmes as well as the incorporation of the European integration process as a central topic in the national school curricula.

  1. It’s true that there is a serious lack of education on Europe at school but I also think we should stop relying only on the EU to promote it. It is the member states’ responsability to take it into account when it comes to defining their educational programs and training their teachers. The EU may have to give the impulse but member states should commit themselves to follow it. To elaborate a legislation on that matter could be an interesting way to compel EU member states to do something.
