Hello everybody. Thanks to read this.
First, I apologize, I am French, and my English is very perfectible. I hope you’ll understand the text.
The word ‘esperanto’ means ‘one who hopes’. I, a young banal European citizen, hope for an United Europe. With a President chosen by the people. May I say the peoples. I think there is different peoples in European Union, and we have to preserve this kaleidoscope of culture, which is unique and irreplaceable.
So, I think there must be only one nation, Europe, itself divided in autonomies. An autonomy is a territory, a people, a culture, and one or many idioms. In fact, that is just a basic federal system. I really think that a people should be autonomous and be rule by itself to be happy.
Okay. So, let’s imagine a federal Europe. One serious problem appears : the language. How could we be a nation if we are not able to understand all the citizens ? How could we vote for a President, if we don’t understand him directly ?
A pan-European language is needed.
And would it be acceptable if the European language was the language of one only state (understand English and the United Kingdom) ? No, I think this language should be impartial. A merge of European languages should be the best idea.
This merge already exists, its name is Esperanto. Anyone could learn all its grammar in ten of thirteen hours. Its vocabulary is derived from Latin, Greek, Germanic and Slave languages.
