60 Ideas for Europe

We talk frequently of closing the gap between the citizens and European Institutions. Very few people know all over Europe that the 9th of May is the “European Day”. My suggestion is why don’t we make the European Day a national Holiday in all Member States so that everyone will start asking why is it today a holiday? It could be a good starting point.

  1. This is a fantastic idea for breaking the borders in the name of equality, a value which governments often forget…

  3. Hello,

I’m not against this idea, but there is a thing which could cancel this date.
In France we already have the :
    – labour day (1rst may),
    – victory of 1945 (8th may),
    – pentecost (sunday 11th and monday 12th may).

An other day should be a lot, no ?

  4. Claudia, ottima idea, l’ho votata 5 stelline!

    W L’EUROPA!!
